London Marathon Report

 

Congratulations to John Jepson and Keith Nelson of Mablethorpe Running Club who completed the London Marathan, and raised alot of money in the process in 4hrs28s and 4hrs15m23s.Also out on the course from Barnsley A C and great friend of our club Mick Casey who finished in an excellent time of 3hrs25m.
Elsewhere across the race there was many excellent performances from runners across the region, and many who compete in this area.
Darren Bilton (Leeds City) who has made the Humber Bridge Half Marathan his own race in recent year's and is now course record holder was 1st male40 runner across the line in 2hrs.23s.49 28th position closely followed by this year's Ferriby 10winner Steve Bateson(East Hull Harriers) 2hrs24m.01s 30th position.
The 2007 Women's Mablethorpe Marathan Winner Andrea Dennisson of Bingley Harriers completed the course in 3hrs01m02s.
